Quality Control Inspector – Civil (Roads & Infrastructure)

About the role

We are looking for a Quality Control Inspector specialised in civil works for roads and infrastructure projects. The role involves ensuring that construction activities meet the required standards and specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Review project documentation, material submittals, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and method statements to verify compliance with project requirements.
• Conduct inspections at various construction stages, including earthworks, asphalt paving, concrete works, drainage installations, retaining walls, bridges and tunnels.
• Verify the quality of materials such as soil, aggregates, asphalt and concrete against relevant standards (BS, ASTM, AASHTO).
• Participate in final inspections to confirm that all work meets quality standards before handover.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in quality control for road and infrastructure construction.
• Relevant certifications in construction quality control (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor).

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and ability to act as Lead Auditor.
• Familiarity with certification schemes such as CSWIP, BGAS/ASNT, IEC, NEC.
• Proficiency with material testing standards including BS, ASTM and AASHTO.
