Quality Control Specialist

About the role

The Quality Control Specialist will work in Julphar’s HQ laboratory in Ras Al Khaimah, ensuring that all pharmaceutical products meet cGMP, GLP and safety standards. The role involves performing chemical and physical analyses, operating QC equipment, and supporting validation activities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct chemical and physical testing of finished products, raw materials and stability samples.
• Operate and maintain HPLC, GC and other QC instrumentation.
• Enter and verify analytical data in SAP, ensuring data integrity.
• Create, validate and approve HPLC/GC analytical methods based on pharmacopeial standards.
• Support process validation, method validation, method transfer and stability studies.
• Investigate out‑of‑specification (OOS) and out‑of‑trend (OOT) results, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Assist supervisors, train new staff and qualify analysts.
• Participate in internal and external audits and close observations promptly.
• Manage quality management system actions such as deviations, CAPAs, change controls using Amplelogic.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of cGMP, GLP and GMP principles.
• Ability to work accurately in a regulated laboratory environment.
• Excellent documentation practices and attention to detail.
• Proactive attitude with a sense of ownership and accountability.

Required skills

• HPLC operation and method development.
• GC operation and method development.
• SAP data entry and data lock procedures.
• Method validation and process validation techniques.
• Use of Amplelogic quality management system.
• Knowledge of pharmacopeial standards.
