Quality Engineer

About the role

The Quality Engineer will ensure that all stakeholders involved in the S-813 Program adhere to state‑of‑the‑art quality assurance practices throughout every phase of the project. This role supports both internal NSSTC processes and external supplier activities to guarantee mission success.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and drive quality assurance for the S-813 Program, covering internal NSSTC practices and external supplier compliance.
• Support the Program Manager in managing relationships with UAESA and UAEU stakeholders.
• Assist System, Spacecraft, and Ops/Ground Segment leads in supplier selection, documentation review, and in‑orbit commissioning.
• Review supplier deliverables related to QA, product development, integration, testing, and validation.
• Participate in program reviews, address discrepancies, and follow up on action items.
• Verify and approve supplier QA plans, ensuring materials, components, software, and processes meet mission requirements.
• Confirm supplier design reviews and test results meet customer specifications.
• Help assess system anomalies and verify closure of corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical or a related field) – minimum qualification.
• Preferred: same degree with focus on aerospace or mechanical engineering.

Required skills

• Quality Assurance Management and authority.
• Ability to interact with internal and external resources.
• Capability to issue QA recommendations considering program cost and schedule impact.
• Knowledge of quality and product assurance practices and standards in the space industry.
