Registered Midwife

About the role

NMC Healthcare, one of the UAE's largest private healthcare networks, is seeking a Registered Midwife to deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence‑based care across the antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal, and newborn periods. The role involves working within the regulator’s scope of practice while upholding NMC’s nursing vision, mission, and values.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to women and newborns in various settings, including hospitals and community clinics.
• Manage spontaneous vaginal deliveries, assist with instrumental vaginal deliveries, and support both emergent and elective caesarean sections.
• Perform procedures such as artificial rupture of membranes (AROM) and sterile vaginal examinations as per competence and clinical privileging.
• Monitor labour progress, conduct CTG monitoring, interpret fetal heart rate patterns, and escalate to obstetricians when required.
• Support women according to their birthing plans and maintain knowledge of stem‑cell collection processes.

Required profile

• Registered Midwife with current regulator scope of practice.
• Completion of all required competencies and clinical privileging before direct patient care.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and uphold patient safety at all times.
• Commitment to continuous learning and delivering an outstanding patient experience.
