Registered Nurse – Aviation & Occupational Health

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Etihad Airways Medical Centre in Abu Dhabi. The role supports the General, Aviation and Occupational Health departments by conducting medical fitness examinations and providing patient care in line with UAE regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist physicians in aviation and occupational pre‑employment, initial and renewal medical examinations, performing vital signs, vision tests, ECG, audiogram, tympanometry, spirometry, BMI calculations and vaccinations.
• Prepare and maintain confidential patient records in compliance with EAMC, GCAA, DOH, OSHAD and other regulators.
• Ensure medical equipment is calibrated, report malfunctions and coordinate repairs.
• Maintain aseptic standards, cleanliness and infection‑control procedures within the centre.
• Monitor medical supplies, including emergency drugs and crash‑cart readiness.
• Support health‑education programs, lectures and campaigns.
• Document and report incidents or variances during duty.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) with BSN or Diploma in Nursing.
• UAE DOH/DHA license and minimum 3 years nursing experience in a large hospital or medical centre.
• Experience in chronic disease management (at least 2 years) and preferably in aviation/occupational health.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and registration as an emergency first responder.
• Fluent English communication skills and computer literacy.
