Registered Nurse - Operating Theatre

About the role

The Operating Theatre Registered Nurse provides patient‑centred, evidence‑based nursing care within the surgical suite of Mediclinic Airport Road Hospital. Working closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and the multidisciplinary team, you will ensure safe, high‑quality care for patients undergoing major procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care in accordance with clinical standards, legislation and hospital policies.
• Identify, prevent and manage risks to maintain patient safety throughout the surgical process.
• Facilitate positive patient experiences by creating a supportive environment.
• Supervise, mentor and coach nursing learners and junior staff to build competence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience in the home country; three years of recent experience assisting major surgeries (general, urology, OBGYN, laparoscopic, ENT, etc.).
• UAE experience is advantageous.
• Basic Arabic language skills and strong English written and verbal communication.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Comprehensive knowledge of patient safety standards.
