Registered Nurse – Operating Theatre (OT)

About the role

The Registered Nurse – OT provides safe, compassionate peri‑operative care within the operating theatre environment. Working closely with surgeons, anesthetists and the multidisciplinary team, the nurse ensures patient safety from pre‑operative assessment through to post‑operative recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, develop and monitor individualized care plans, and record vital signs.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products and provide wound‑care management.
• Assist in surgical procedures as a circulating nurse or scrub nurse, handling instruments, maintaining asepsis and managing documentation.
• Support patients in the recovery room, monitor post‑operative status, and coordinate safe admission, transfer and discharge.
• Maintain clinical competencies, including Basic Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation.

Required profile

• Valid license to practice as a registered nurse with the relevant UAE health authority.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider card.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Arabic proficiency is desirable.
• Willingness to work across departments and manage professional re‑licensure.
