Resident Architect

About the role

The Resident Architect will act as the senior project lead, overseeing all phases of construction from post‑contract services through to completion. Reporting to the Project Director, you will ensure DSA’s legal, contractual and commercial interests are protected while delivering the project on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage overall project progress, schedule, and cost control in coordination with the Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager.
• Administer the DSA contract, issuing formal instructions, handling extensions of time, cost variations, and dispute resolution.
• Lead change‑management processes and coordinate consultants, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor contractor logistics, health‑safety, and environmental compliance, reporting status and corrective actions regularly.
• Provide architectural oversight, ensuring design intent is maintained on site and advising the client on construction matters.
• Establish communication protocols and manage the performance of the DSA project team.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in senior construction project management and contract administration, preferably under FIDIC or DSA frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate complex stakeholder environments.
• Strong analytical and decision‑making skills with a focus on protecting client interests.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of producing clear project reports.
