Retail Sales Assistant – Toys “R” Us

About the role

The Sales Assistant is a critical member of the Toys “R” Us retail team in Abu Dhabi, responsible for driving sales and delivering a positive customer experience. The role combines customer interaction, operational duties, and store upkeep to ensure a welcoming shopping environment.

Key responsibilities

• Create a positive first impression by greeting customers with a smile and adhering to dress code.
• Provide current, relevant product information and thank customers as they leave, inviting them back.
• Generate sales through excellent service, fitting‑room assistance, timely follow‑up, and add‑on offers.
• Offer gift cards at the cash wrap, keep the area clean, and capture customer data in the database.
• Maintain store cleanliness, perform housekeeping duties, and uphold visual presentation standards.

Required profile

• High school degree.
• 1–2 years of retail sales experience.
• Proficiency in CAD packages such as AutoCAD, Sketchup, Illustrator, or Photoshop.
• Good verbal communication skills and ability to lift heavy items.
• Capability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours per shift.
