Retail Team Leader

About the role

The Retail Team Leader oversees the daily operations of assigned pharmacies in the UAE, ensuring compliance with health authority regulations while driving sales performance and delivering high‑quality customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with UAE Health Authority regulations, company SOPs, and ethical pharmacy standards.
• Supervise accurate dispensing of prescriptions and maintain proper documentation, controlled drug registers, and records.
• Conduct regular audits, inventory checks, expiry management, and loss‑prevention activities.
• Maintain temperature control, hygiene standards, waste disposal, and security of controlled substances.
• Coordinate with Health Authorities, attend inspections or meetings as required.
• Drive sales growth, prescription volume, gross profit, and achieve budgeted targets.
• Analyze sales trends, stock movement, margins, forecasts, and competitor activities.
• Implement promotions, trade‑marketing activities, merchandising standards, and strategic item sales.
• Maintain optimal stock levels, prevent stock‑outs and expired items, and keep accurate inventory records.
• Establish high standards of customer service, provide medication guidance, and ensure a culturally appropriate experience.
• Review, analyze, and submit daily activity and sales reports, highlighting risks and improvement opportunities.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth pharmacy operations and risk mitigation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (mandatory).
• Fluency in Arabic and English (mandatory).
• Minimum 3 to 7 years experience in retail pharmacy operations with supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of UAE pharmacy laws, controlled medicines regulations, and audit requirements.
• Proven leadership, sales management, and customer service abilities.
