Sales & Business Development Engineer – Middle East

About the role

The Regional Sales & Business Development Engineer will promote and sell Roots Systems package solutions across the Middle East, focusing on oil & gas, energy and petrochemical customers. The role requires strong technical knowledge of rotating machinery and fluid‑handling equipment, as well as an established network of contacts in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse market insights and develop sales plans aligned with business targets.
• Interpret customer enquiries, data sheets, P&IDs and commercial terms.
• Generate and manage leads, converting them into business opportunities.
• Conduct market visits, meetings and lunch‑and‑learn presentations.
• Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions and other marketing events.
• Engage with customers to understand needs and demonstrate product value.
• Maintain accurate records of opportunities and bids.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering.
• Proven outside sales and business development experience with process skid packages and gas compressor skids in the Gulf region.
• Track record in complex sales, key‑account management or business development within Oil & Gas, Energy or Petrochemical sectors.
• Excellent English communication, presentation and negotiation skills; Arabic is a plus.
• Valid UAE driver’s licence and willingness to travel across the Middle East.
