About the role

Sulzer is seeking a Sales Manager to lead the commercial effort for industrial equipment and solutions across the GCC region. The role combines technical expertise with full‑cycle sales management, from customer engagement and tendering to post‑sale implementation and support.

Key responsibilities

  • Own and drive sales performance in UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
  • Develop and execute country‑level and regional sales plans aligned with business unit strategy.
  • Lead the complete sales cycle: opportunity identification, RFQ/tender review, commercial strategy, negotiation and order booking.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key end‑users, EPCs, consultants and government entities.
  • Act as primary commercial contact for strategic accounts, handling pricing, contracts, delivery issues and escalations.
  • Coordinate complex tender and proposal activities with global tendering teams, factories and engineering.
  • Ensure correct commercial positioning, margins, terms, conditions and risk assessment for each opportunity.
  • Bridge customers and internal teams (engineering, project management, supply chain, factories, service units) to guarantee timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate CRM pipeline, forecasts and sales reports, providing market intelligence and competitor insights.

Required profile

  • Proven experience in sales and business development of industrial equipment or engineering solutions.
  • Strong track record of managing key accounts and complex tender processes.
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills, especially with EPCs and government bodies.
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally with global factories, service centers and regional business units.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
