About the role
The Salon Receptionist is the first point of contact for clients, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and smooth front‑desk operations. This role combines customer service, appointment management, and basic administrative tasks to support the salon team.
Key responsibilities
- Greet clients warmly, answer phone calls, WhatsApp messages and in‑person inquiries.
- Manage appointment bookings, confirmations, cancellations and walk‑ins for stylists, beauticians, nail technicians and therapists.
- Coordinate daily schedules to minimise waiting time and communicate special requests to staff.
- Process billing, payments and receipts accurately, maintain client records and support cash‑handling procedures.
- Inform clients about services, packages, promotions and memberships, and recommend retail products when appropriate.
- Keep the reception area clean and organised, assist with basic inventory tracking and liaise with the salon supervisor for operational needs.
Required profile
- Friendly and professional demeanor with strong communication skills.
- Ability to handle client concerns or complaints and know when to escalate.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple appointments and records.
- Attention to detail for accurate billing and record‑keeping.
