Secondary Biology Teacher

About the role

The Westminster School in Dubai is seeking a dedicated Secondary Biology Teacher to deliver the curriculum with up‑to‑date subject knowledge. You will create engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and support students of varying abilities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality biology lessons, adapting resources for ESL, gifted, and low‑ability learners.
• Maintain accurate records of curriculum plans, attendance, assessments and teaching resources.
• Assess, record and report on student progress, using data to inform instruction.
• Utilise media and technology effectively in the classroom.
• Promote student well‑being, cultural awareness and a love of learning.
• Communicate regularly with parents, keeping them informed of progress.
• Participate in co‑curricular activities, staff meetings and professional development.
• Support school events, supervise student behaviour and uphold GEMS policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biology.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
