About the role

GEMS Metropole School Al Waha is seeking a qualified Secondary English Teacher to join its vibrant international community in Dubai starting August 2026. The role involves delivering the GCSE and A‑Level English curriculum within a forward‑thinking, sustainability‑focused school environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging English lessons for secondary students (GCSE & A‑Level).
• Develop and implement innovative teaching practices that align with the school’s values of curiosity, confidence, creativity, respect and kindness.
• Contribute to the school’s extra‑curricular programme and community‑based events.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and students to support academic progress and personal development.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and participate in regular staff development activities.

Required profile

• Hold a BEd or a bachelor’s degree with a PGCE, PGDE or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience teaching GCSE and A‑Level English.
• Demonstrated ability to embody and role‑model the school’s core values.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff, students and families.
• Commitment to contributing positively to the school community and culture.
