Senior Accountant – Construction (Arabic, English)

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead the financial and accounting functions for construction projects and the wider company. Reporting to the General Manager, the role ensures accurate financial reporting, cost monitoring, budgeting, cash‑flow oversight and compliance with UAE statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate accounting records in line with company policies and applicable standards.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Execute general‑ledger reconciliations and manage month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations.
• Track project costs, budgets, commitments and expenditures; reconcile costs with BOQ and budgets.
• Prepare project profitability, cost variance and retention/advance payment reports.
• Assist in external and internal audits and ensure VAT and tax compliance.
• Support budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting and variance analysis for both corporate and project levels.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5–10 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Minimum 5 years of UAE experience within a contracting environment.
• Arabic speaker with good English proficiency; professional certifications (ACCA, CMA) are a plus.
• Immediate availability is preferred.
