Senior Accountant – Dubai

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai. The role involves managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.
• Ensure financial reports are accurate, timely and comply with GAAP, IFRS and other accounting standards.
• Oversee the general ledger, recording and reconciling all transactions.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, accounts payable/receivable and other financial accounts.
• Prepare budgets and financial forecasts.
• Analyze financial data, provide insights and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and other financial regulations, including preparation and filing of tax returns.
• Monitor costs, identify improvement or cost‑saving opportunities, and evaluate accounting processes for efficiency.

Required profile

• CPA or CA certification (mandatory).
• 5‑7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the UAE.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with clients and internal departments.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics.
