Senior Accountant – Fixed Assets

About the role

The Senior Accountant – Fixed Assets will manage the accounting of ADNOC Group's headquarters fixed assets. This role ensures accurate recording, depreciation, and reporting of assets to support reliable financial statements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile fixed‑asset registers for ADNOC HQ in line with company policies.
• Document monthly depreciation and execute depreciation runs, posting results to the General Ledger.
• Review system interface reports for consistency and reasonableness of data submitted by Group Companies.
• Reconcile ADNOC HQ asset registers with those of Group Companies and maintain capital work‑in‑progress records.
• Prepare annual fixed‑asset schedules, physical inventory procedures, and support external and internal audit requirements.
• Identify process improvements and implement action plans to enhance efficiency.
• Supervise, train, and develop assigned staff, and contribute to budget preparation for the function.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fixed‑asset accounting, preferably within a large corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of depreciation methods, asset registers, and financial reporting standards.
• Ability to supervise and develop junior staff.
• Experience preparing schedules for audits and financial statements.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement.
