Senior Accountant

About the role

Cello Restaurant is seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to join its finance team in a fast‑paced hospitality environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with UAE tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and keep precise accounting records.
• Prepare and process invoices, payments, receipts, and expense reports.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and petty‑cash balances.
• Support inventory control, cost management, and monthly closing activities.
• Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of all financial records.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and other financial regulations.
• Post salaries and WPS entries in both the bank system and ERP.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2‑5 years of accounting experience, preferably in F&B or hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and local accounting standards.
• Proficiency with accounting software, ERP systems, and MS Excel.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Relevant certifications (CMA, CIMA, CA, MBA) are a plus.
