Senior Accountant – Record to Report (R2R) – Dubai

About the role

The Senior Accountant – Record to Report (R2R) will ensure accurate and timely month‑end close, balance‑sheet substantiation and management reporting for Al‑Futtaim’s automotive business units. The role supports both local and overseas financial processes while driving continuous improvement of the R2R cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control monthly book closing to meet group timelines.
• Drive continuous improvement in closing activities to enhance financial quality.
• Review key automotive accounts in the trial balance and substantiate balances.
• Standardise accounting processes, perform regular reconciliations, manage fixed assets and improve month‑end reporting.
• Prepare and submit accurate monthly management reports with commentary.
• Support overseas entities by reviewing processes and sharing best practices.
• Coordinate external audits, providing explanations and schedules.
• Assist in preparing standalone financial statements for automotive entities.

Required profile

• Proficiency with financial software and ERP systems, especially SAP.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective task management and prioritisation with a focus on continuous improvement.
