Senior Analysis Engineer – Advanced Weapon Systems

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Analysis Engineer to lead the design, simulation, and validation of advanced weapon systems. The role involves complex structural and multi‑physics analysis for missiles, torpedoes, artillery shells, and guided munitions, requiring deep technical expertise and a strong analytical mindset.

Key responsibilities

• Perform linear and nonlinear structural analysis for complex mechanical systems.
• Conduct contact and large‑deformation simulations to evaluate performance under extreme conditions.
• Lead fatigue and durability assessments to ensure long‑term reliability.
• Execute explicit dynamics analyses for crash, impact, and high‑strain events.
• Perform thermal and coupled‑field analyses across multi‑physics environments.
• Carry out modal and harmonic response analyses to assess vibration characteristics.
• Conduct linear and nonlinear buckling analyses for structural stability.
• Collaborate with design, systems, and manufacturing teams to optimise performance and manufacturability.
• Apply GD&T principles in analysis and validation of precision components.

Required profile

• MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• 10–20+ years of engineering experience, specifically within weapon‑system development.
• Strong fundamentals in at least two of the following: solid mechanics, dynamics & vibration, heat transfer, fatigue & fracture mechanics, thermo‑mechanical analysis, material modeling.
• Proven experience applying GD&T in defence or high‑precision engineering environments.

Required skills

• Advanced expertise with FEA software and mechanical analysis tools.
• Knowledge of explicit dynamics, structural mechanics, and multi‑physics analysis.
• Proficiency in CAD tools for design and analysis integration.
• Experience with thermal, modal, buckling, and fatigue analysis.
• Familiarity with high‑performance, high‑load, extreme‑environment systems.
