Senior Consultant Fire And Life Safety

About the role

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a Senior Consultant – Fire & Life Safety to join its UAE team. The role involves delivering fire and life‑safety consultancy for complex, large‑scale projects across the region, developing strategies, conducting technical reviews and liaising with clients, authorities and stakeholders to ensure compliance with local and international codes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical input and consultation on fire detection, alarm, water‑based suppression, clean‑agent, smoke control and passive fire protection systems for complex projects.
• Prepare design submissions, calculations and fire‑life‑safety strategy reports, and support audits, site inspections and compliance reviews.
• Conduct fire risk assessments, hazard analyses and develop mitigation strategies for high‑profile projects.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, clients and government authorities to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to business development activities such as bid preparation and client meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8‑12 years of experience in fire‑life‑safety consulting, preferably in the UAE or similar markets.
• Pursuing or holding professional licences/certifications (PE, CEng, CFPS or equivalent) is highly desirable.
