Senior Contracts Officer – Civil Engineering

About the role

The Senior Officer, Contracts (Civil Engineer) will lead the full contract lifecycle for civil and construction projects, ensuring that all contractual, legal, and technical aspects align with EDGE Group’s objectives and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review Scope of Work (SOW) specifications with requesters and end users for accuracy.
• Prepare and issue Tender Documents (ITT, RFP, RFQ) and evaluate bids based on technical and financial criteria.
• Draft final contractual instruments such as Purchase Orders, Blanket Purchase Agreements, Service Maintenance Agreements, and contracts for management approval.
• Administer contracts during vendor execution, including delivery follow‑up, acceptance certificates, and non‑conformance resolution.
• Negotiate prices, timelines, payment schedules, and other contractual terms.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate contract‑related risks, including potential delays and legal issues.
• Manage change orders, monitor vendor performance, and ensure compliance with agreed terms.
• Oversee contract closure, ensuring all deliverables and obligations are fulfilled.
• Support contract audits, inspections, and provide performance reports to management.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of all contract documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Proven experience in contract management for civil or construction projects.
• Strong understanding of legal, regulatory, and company standards throughout the contract lifecycle.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 standards.
• Experience with tender preparation, bid evaluation, and contract drafting.
• Ability to negotiate contractual terms and manage change orders.
• Proficiency in contract administration and risk mitigation.
