Senior Design Engineer – Integrated Energy Systems

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join our international projects team and lead the design of integrated energy systems that combine solar PV, wind, battery storage, generators and smart controls.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimise hybrid and renewable energy systems for grid‑connected, off‑grid and microgrid projects.
• Develop single‑line diagrams (SLDs), layouts, calculations, equipment specifications and bills of quantities (BoQs).
• Utilise tools such as PVsyst, HOMER Pro and AutoCAD for system modelling and design.
• Support technical proposals and project costing activities.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers and project teams to deliver the right solution.
• Participate in site surveys, installation, testing and commissioning internationally when required.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of relevant engineering design experience.
• Strong background in solar PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and hybrid energy solutions.
• Practical electrical design capability with experience in AutoCAD and energy‑modelling software.
• Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to turn concepts into workable on‑site solutions.
• Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally for project needs.
