Senior Engineer – Planning & Cost Control (Offshore)

About the role

Penspen is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to lead planning and cost control for offshore brownfield projects in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for developing schedules, monitoring budgets, and ensuring project delivery aligns with client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update project schedules for offshore brownfield works such as wellhead platforms, subsea cables, and piping.
• Prepare baseline schedules and track progress, identifying deviations and proposing recovery actions.
• Perform cost estimation, budgeting, and ongoing cost monitoring for modifications.
• Coordinate with EPC, PMC, and contractors on planning, scheduling, and cost control matters.
• Support change management processes, including MCRs and VOs, and assess risk impacts on schedule and cost.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and stakeholder review.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in project planning and cost control within the oil and gas industry.
• At least 5 years of offshore project experience; PMC experience preferred.
• Previous involvement in ADNOC projects is an advantage.
• Strong analytical abilities, independent work style, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
