Senior Health Safety Environment Advisor

About the role

The Senior Health Safety Environment Advisor (HSSE) will support the OMV MEA Hub in delivering safe and secure operations across the UAE portfolio. The role is limited to UAE nationals and focuses on establishing, maintaining and implementing HSSE standards from exploration through abandonment.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate client and international HSSE, process safety, safety engineering and technical integrity standards into project design to ensure fit‑for‑purpose and safe facilities.
• Identify and manage HSSE risks throughout the project lifecycle up to hand‑over to operations.
• Provide active, visible leadership on HSSE and technical integrity across the MEA Hub.
• Ensure HSSE work complies with local laws, client standards and the Upstream Management System.
• Lead and participate in audits, reviews and HSSE initiatives.
• Own specific HSSE improvement projects and maintain the HSSE Risk Register for operated and non‑operated assets.
• Advise HSSE teams on all health, safety, security and environmental matters.
• Oversee implementation and auditability of the Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) system.

Required profile

• UAE national.
• Minimum 8 years (96 months) of relevant HSSE experience, preferably in oil & gas.
• Proven senior‑level expertise in HSSE management and technical integrity.
