Senior HSE Officer

About the role

The Senior HSE Officer will support the NMDC project HSE Manager in delivering world‑class health, safety and environmental performance across all project phases. The role focuses on protecting the surrounding environment while meeting the expectations of customers, the board, the Abu Dhabi community and NMDC employees.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the HSE Manager in developing and implementing HSE policies and procedures for project preparation and delivery.
• Monitor and report on HSE performance to ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and site inspections, especially for dredging and marine activities.
• Coordinate with project teams to minimise environmental impact and ensure safe operations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the ISM Code and related mandatory regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HSE roles within dredging, marine or related industries.
• Strong understanding of the ISM Code, applicable maritime safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including customers, management and local communities.
