Senior Internal Auditor – Group

About the role

The Group Senior Internal Auditor will lead and execute internal audit engagements across Ghobash Trading & Investment’s diversified portfolio. Reporting to the Group Head of Internal Audit, you will drive risk‑based audits, evaluate controls and provide actionable recommendations to enhance governance and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements from planning through reporting, ensuring adherence to methodology and timelines.
• Conduct the annual risk assessment, gather intelligence from audits, management interviews and emerging risks.
• Update quarterly risk assessments to reflect changes in the operating environment and business priorities.
• Develop and submit Preliminary Information Request Lists, Risk and Control Matrices, audit programs and sampling memos.
• Execute testing procedures, identify control deficiencies and propose pragmatic, risk‑based recommendations.
• Facilitate kick‑off, status, exit and close‑out meetings with operating companies and auditees.
• Escalate delays, manage documentation and ensure comprehensive reporting to the Group Head of Internal Audit.
• Engage directly with process owners to validate business understanding and gather insights.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in internal audit, preferably within a multi‑asset, multi‑geography organization.
• Strong knowledge of risk‑based audit methodologies and internal control frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead audit teams, manage stakeholder relationships and communicate findings effectively.
• Excellent analytical and fact‑gathering skills with a methodical approach.
