Senior Project Manager – Infrastructure

About the role

WSP in the Middle East is looking for a highly experienced Project Manager / Senior Project Manager to lead large‑scale infrastructure and master‑plan development projects across the UAE. The role will oversee multidisciplinary teams, manage client relationships and ensure delivery against scope, schedule, budget and quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination and delivery of major infrastructure and master‑plan projects, developing execution plans, schedules and resource forecasts.
• Manage multidisciplinary design and delivery teams throughout all project phases, monitoring performance and implementing corrective actions.
• Act as primary client contact, maintaining strong relationships with government authorities, developers, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Oversee commercial aspects including budget monitoring, contract administration, change management and risk mitigation.
• Provide technical leadership, ensuring engineering solutions meet client requirements, regulatory standards and best‑practice guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with company governance, quality, safety and regulatory frameworks, and participate in project audits and lessons‑learned activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 12‑15+ years of experience in engineering consultancy, infrastructure delivery or large‑scale development programmes in the UAE.
• Proven track record managing complex infrastructure and master‑plan projects for leading international consultancies.
• Extensive client‑facing experience with government entities, developers and key stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of project management, commercial management and risk management principles.
• PMP certification, Chartered Engineer status or equivalent accreditation is desirable.
