Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Abu Dhabi

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure the reliability, scalability and security of mission‑critical platforms running on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and air‑gapped Rancher RKE2 clusters. The role involves close collaboration with engineering, security and operations teams to maintain high‑availability services in both cloud and on‑premises environments.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and optimise Kubernetes platforms, including ingress, storage and stateful workloads, to meet strict SLAs.
• Automate deployments and operational processes using Python, Go, Bash, Terraform, Bicep and Ansible.
• Implement GitOps workflows with ArgoCD and Kustomize across cloud and disconnected environments.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Oversee container supply‑chain security, private registry mirroring and image scanning.
• Monitor infrastructure and applications with Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana and OpenTelemetry.
• Lead incident response, root‑cause analysis and post‑incident reviews.
• Enforce best practices for reliability, security, compliance and platform governance.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and follow ITSM, ITIL and Agile processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in SRE, DevOps or Platform Engineering.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, networking and security.
