Senior Specialist, Reservoir Engineering (SCAL)

About the role

ADNOC is seeking a Senior Specialist in Reservoir Engineering (SCAL) to lead and review field development plans and reservoir studies across its Group companies. The role focuses on ensuring the quality of static and dynamic models, providing technical advice, and driving the implementation of ADNOC’s standards and best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and review field development plan studies to ensure technical rigor and compliance with ADNOC standards.
• Collaborate with Group companies, consultants and service providers as ADNOC’s representative on reservoir modeling, simulation, and software matters.
• Participate in testing, evaluation and recommendation of commercial reservoir simulators and analytical tools.
• Provide hands‑on support for reservoir modeling, simulation, and the execution of reservoir studies and projects.
• Review study reports and recommend actions to improve field development plans, data‑gathering programs and reservoir management guidelines.
• Advise on current and future reservoir modeling activities, including identification of advanced technologies and R&D opportunities for Abu Dhabi reservoirs.
• Maintain close interaction with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated reservoir engineering approaches.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years (120 months) of experience in subsurface reservoir engineering, preferably in SCAL projects.
• Proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders and to guide technical standards implementation.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in reviewing and improving reservoir studies.
