Site Operations Assistant – Emirati National

About the role

AkzoNobel is looking for an Emirati national to join its Dubai site as a Site Operations Assistant. The role provides a structured development pathway within a global paints and coatings manufacturer, offering on‑the‑job training across operational and support functions.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate internal and external audits, including certification and surveillance audits.
• Drive compliance with HSE, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Lead corrective actions, continuous‑improvement initiatives and risk‑assessment activities.
• Manage data, reporting and performance monitoring for the Integrated Management System (IMS).
• Support incident management, risk assessments and management‑review processes.
• Maintain documented evidence, records and version‑controlled IMS documentation (policies, SOPs, work instructions).
• Ensure site compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Facilitate cross‑functional coordination between production, warehouse, QC, maintenance and other departments.

Required profile

• Emirati national, recent graduate or early‑career professional.
• Strong interest in manufacturing, quality, safety and environmental management.
• Ability to work under the guidance of the Site Manager and HSE/IMS coordinators.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Required skills

• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Experience or training in audit coordination and corrective‑action tracking.
