Software Engineer – Security Patch & Release (Banking)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer specialized in security patch and release engineering to support mission‑critical banking platforms in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on accelerated patch deployment, automated regression testing, and embedding security validation into CI/CD pipelines for core, corporate, consumer and digital banking applications.

Key responsibilities

• Drive end‑to‑end security patch deployment across multiple banking platforms while meeting strict SLAs and ensuring zero unplanned downtime.
• Design, implement and maintain automated regression test suites to validate system stability after patches.
• Identify, prioritize and remediate software vulnerabilities, including OWASP Top 10 and API security issues.
• Integrate security patch validation gates into CI/CD pipelines, automating security checks, smoke tests and rollback procedures.
• Prepare detailed release notes, impact assessments and rollback plans, and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
• Collaborate with DevOps, QA, Application Security and platform teams to streamline secure release processes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in software maintenance, release engineering or DevSecOps.
• Minimum 2 years supporting enterprise or banking applications.
• Strong understanding of banking domain and mission‑critical systems.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight release schedules.
