Specialist Consultant Internal Medicine Physician – Government Sector, UAE

About the role

A leading government healthcare organization in the UAE is looking for an experienced Specialist/Consultant in Internal Medicine to join its multidisciplinary team. You will provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management for adult patients across acute and chronic conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Diagnose and manage a wide spectrum of adult medical conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Coordinate complex cases and refer to appropriate subspecialists.
• Collaborate with cardiology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, nephrology, pulmonology and other specialties.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with clinical governance standards.

Required profile

• MBBS, MD or equivalent medical qualification.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine (e.g., UK CCT/MRCP, American Board, Australian or South African Board).
• Significant post‑specialisation clinical experience, preferably in a tertiary‑care or multispecialty hospital.
• Strong clinical judgment, independent decision‑making and excellent communication skills.
• Commitment to patient‑centred care and continuous professional development.
