Specialist Consultant Nephrologist – Leading UAE Healthcare Facility

About the role

A leading healthcare organization in the United Arab Emirates is looking for an experienced Specialist/Consultant Nephrologist to join its expanding medical team. The role involves delivering comprehensive care for patients with acute and chronic kidney disease, hypertension, electrolyte disorders, and those requiring renal replacement therapies.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic kidney diseases.
• Provide assessment and treatment for renal and electrolyte disorders.
• Oversee care for patients on hemodialysis and other renal replacement therapies.
• Manage complications related to kidney disease, hypertension, and fluid/electrolyte imbalance.
• Deliver pre‑ and post‑transplant nephrology care where applicable.
• Collaborate with urologists, transplant surgeons, intensivists, cardiologists, endocrinologists and other specialists.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and complex case discussions.
• Maintain accurate medical records, clinical documentation, and contribute to audits and quality‑improvement programs.

Required profile

• MBBS, MD or equivalent medical qualification.
• Recognised postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
• Relevant post‑specialisation clinical experience, preferably in a tertiary‑care hospital, renal centre or dialysis facility.
• Board‑certified credentials (UK CCT/MRCP, American Board, Australian Board, South African specialist qualification or equivalent).
• Strong clinical judgment, independent decision‑making and excellent communication skills.
