Specialist Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon – Government Sector

About the role

A leading healthcare organization in the UAE is expanding its surgical and dental team and seeks a Specialist Consultant in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. The role involves delivering comprehensive surgical care for conditions of the mouth, jaws, face and related structures within a modern, multidisciplinary hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and surgically manage a wide range of oral and maxillofacial conditions.
• Perform dentoalveolar, oral and maxillofacial procedures, including complex extractions, cyst removal and benign lesion excision.
• Manage facial trauma, orthognathic cases, implant‑related surgery, oncology and reconstructive procedures.
• Conduct pre‑operative assessments, develop individualized surgical plans and provide post‑operative follow‑up.
• Collaborate with dentists, orthodontists, ENT specialists, plastic surgeons, radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, participate in multidisciplinary meetings, audits and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Recognised undergraduate degree (BDS, DDS, DMD, MBBS or equivalent) and postgraduate qualification in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
• Significant post‑specialisation surgical experience, preferably in a hospital or multidisciplinary surgical centre.
• Internationally recognised specialist credentials (UK CCT/FRCS, American Board, Australian Board, South African Board or equivalent).
• Strong clinical judgement, excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient‑centred care.
