Specialist Dermatology – Clinical Role

About the role

The Specialist Dermatology will work within Seha Clinics under the supervision of a Consultant Physician, delivering high‑quality skin care to in‑patients and out‑patients in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Support hospital policies, performance management and departmental initiatives.
• Assist Consultant staff to ensure continuous medical coverage and attend divisional meetings.
• Diagnose and treat dermatology patients according to best‑practice standards.
• Supervise junior medical staff and share responsibility for their patient care.
• Lead ward rounds, reassess patients regularly, and document clinical information promptly.
• Review investigation results, modify treatment plans, and obtain informed consent for procedures.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and coordinate referrals from emergency, primary care and other specialties.
• Provide out‑of‑hours on‑call coverage on a rotational basis.

Required profile

• Medical doctor qualified to practice dermatology.
• Ability to work under supervision of a Consultant Physician.
• Willingness to engage in on‑call rotations, including evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Commitment to collaborative, team‑based patient care.

Required skills

• Clinical diagnosis and treatment of dermatological conditions.
• Medical documentation and timely record‑keeping.
• Review and interpretation of laboratory and imaging investigations.
• Informed consent acquisition and patient preparation for procedures.
• Supervision of junior medical staff.
• Participation in multidisciplinary care planning.
