Specialist HSE Projects Engineer – Offshore Water Injection

About the role

The Specialist HSE (Projects) Engineer will lead health, safety and environmental management for KBR’s offshore water injection project in Abu Dhabi. Based initially in the office and later rotating to the offshore site (6 weeks on/3 weeks off), the role ensures safe execution across engineering, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning and start‑up phases.

Key responsibilities

• Provide HSE leadership and guidance to project management, engineering, construction, commissioning and contractor teams.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with approved HSE management systems and procedures.
• Implement and maintain the Project HSE Management Plan.
• Ensure adherence to company HSE policies, local regulatory requirements, offshore safety regulations and international oil & gas standards.
• Act as the focal point for HSE matters, delivering technical advice to stakeholders and supporting achievement of HSE targets and KPIs.
• Monitor and report HSE performance, conduct risk assessments and incident investigations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HSE engineering for offshore oil & gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of local UAE regulations and international offshore safety standards.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and communicate HSE requirements effectively.

Required skills

• Familiarity with HSE management systems and procedures.
• Understanding of company HSE policies and offshore safety regulations.
