About the role

The Specialist Obstetrics and Gynaecology provides professional, ethical, and high‑quality clinical care to women throughout prenatal, natal and post‑natal periods. The role ensures clinical risk management, compliance with governance standards, accurate medical records and continuous professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological care, including prenatal, delivery and post‑natal services.
• Perform Cesarean sections, emergency surgeries and other operative procedures as required.
• Conduct well‑women examinations such as pap smears, pelvic and breast exams.
• Order, analyse and interpret diagnostic tests, screenings, biopsies and imaging.
• Interview new patients, record medical histories and develop treatment plans.
• Supervise and advise medical staff, including nurses, physician assistants and technologists.
• Prescribe medications, antibiotics and post‑natal care regimens, ensuring clear documentation.
• Provide dietary advice, health‑care tips for mothers and newborns, and suggest alternative treatments when necessary.
