Specialist Ophthalmologist – Dubai

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Specialist Ophthalmologist to join our healthcare team in Dubai. The role involves delivering comprehensive eye care, diagnosing a wide range of ocular conditions, and performing appropriate ophthalmic procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough eye examinations and ophthalmic assessments.
• Diagnose, manage and treat acute and chronic ophthalmic conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and prescribe medications.
• Perform ophthalmic procedures and surgeries within the physician’s scope of practice.
• Provide pre‑ and post‑operative care, including patient education.
• Maintain accurate, confidential medical records and refer to subspecialists when needed.
• Collaborate with optometrists, nurses, technicians and other healthcare professionals.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology.
• Relevant post‑qualification clinical experience.
• Strong diagnostic, clinical and patient‑management abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
