Specialist Physician – Dermatology

About the role

The Specialist Physician in Dermatology joins Al Rahba Hospital’s dermatology division to deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based, patient‑centred skin care. Working under the supervision of a Consultant Physician, the role combines direct clinical duties with the mentorship of junior medical staff.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat dermatological conditions following best‑practice standards.
• Lead ward rounds, reassess in‑patients and out‑patients, and document clinical information promptly.
• Supervise junior doctors, sharing responsibility for their patient care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and coordinate with other specialties.
• Ensure appropriate use of hospital resources and adherence to admission, discharge, and procedural protocols.
• Provide out‑of‑hours on‑call coverage on a rotational basis.
• Communicate treatment plans and consent information to patients and families.
• Support departmental initiatives, performance reviews, and incident reporting.

Required profile

• Medical degree with full registration to practice in the UAE.
• Specialist qualification in Dermatology.
• Experience supervising junior medical staff is preferred.
