Specialist Rotating Equipment Engineer – Offshore Water Injection Project

About the role

The Specialist Rotating Equipment Engineer will lead the engineering, design, selection, procurement and technical management of rotating equipment for an offshore water injection project. The role ensures compliance with ADNOC standards, international codes and reliability objectives from FEED through commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and engineering of rotating equipment for offshore oil & gas facilities, including compressors, turbines, pumps, blowers, diesel engines and generators.
• Prepare, review and approve equipment datasheets, technical specifications, material requisitions and vendor drawings.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, structural and procurement teams.
• Support procurement, FAT, construction, commissioning and start‑up activities, and resolve technical issues on site.
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, design and constructability reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred); professional engineering certification preferred.
• 15‑18 years of experience in oil & gas, petrochemical or offshore EPC projects, with at least 5 years in a lead rotating‑equipment role.
• Proven experience on ADNOC offshore, Saudi Aramco, QatarEnergy or similar large Middle‑East projects.

• Equipment performance analysis and reliability engineering.
• Vibration analysis and condition monitoring.
• Mechanical seals, bearings, lubrication systems and auxiliary packages.
