Staff Nurse - Breast Radiology Clinic

About the role

The Staff Nurse will deliver direct, patient‑centered care within the Breast Radiology Clinic, supporting diagnostic and interventional procedures for adult and geriatric patients. The role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high‑quality breast care services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide age‑specific nursing care using the nursing process, including comprehensive patient assessments.
• Assist during Ultrasound‑Guided Core Biopsy, Lymph Node Biopsy, Stereotactic Biopsy, Fine Needle Aspiration, Seed Placement, and Wire Localization procedures.
• Document all relevant patient data in the medical record and maintain required supplies and equipment.
• Coordinate care plans, prioritize interventions, and initiate appropriate transfer plans.
• Participate in unit meetings, committees, and Continuous Quality Improvement activities.
• Handle narcotic and controlled drugs safely and ensure compliance with Joint Commission International Accreditation requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or equivalent two‑year degree) and registration as a Registered Nurse in Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand or Australia.
• Valid license/registration to practice in the home country or last place of employment.
• Minimum two years recent post‑graduate experience in a Breast Care setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certifications.
