Staff Nurse – General Medicine Clinic

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Staff Nurse to join our General Medicine Clinic at Ghayathi Hospital. The role involves delivering age‑appropriate patient care, coordinating treatment from admission through discharge, and supporting health education in line with Abu Dhabi nursing standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, including medication administration and discharge planning.
• Supervise and mentor practical nurses, midwives, junior staff and student nurses, acting as a preceptor when required.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record and report adverse drug reactions or incidents.
• Respond to emergencies, participate in quality‑improvement projects and ensure compliance with infection‑control and safety policies.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a special nursing certificate and at least 2 years of clinical experience (experience requirement waived for recent UAE nursing graduates).
• Familiarity with the Professional Nurses Code of Conduct for Abu Dhabi and ability to work in a multicultural, interdisciplinary team.
• Strong critical‑thinking, problem‑solving and communication skills.
