Staff Nurse – Medical & Surgical ICU

About the role

The Medical & Surgical ICU at Madinat Zayed Hospital is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred care. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, supporting critical care patients throughout their hospital journey.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in accordance with hospital policies and ICU scope of service.
• Administer medications safely, monitor patient responses, and report adverse drug reactions.
• Identify and act on significant changes in patient condition, escalating to physicians as needed.
• Supervise and mentor practical nurses, junior staff and student nurses, acting as a preceptor when required.
• Coordinate individualized care plans, including discharge planning and referral processes.
• Respond to emergencies following organizational protocols and promote health education.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure a patient‑ and family‑centred approach.
