Staff Nurse – Outpatient Clinic (TP)

About the role

Provides direct and indirect age‑specific care for patients in the Surgical Outpatient Clinic at American Hospital Dubai. The role involves comprehensive nursing assessment, planning, intervention and coordination across the healthcare continuum while adhering to Joint Commission International standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments using age‑appropriate techniques and continuously evaluate physical and psychological needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, revise and implement individualized care plans.
• Document all relevant data in the medical record and ensure availability of supplies and equipment.
• Handle and administer narcotic/controlled drugs safely and maintain required certifications.
• Participate in unit meetings, continuous quality improvement activities and mandatory education programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (or equivalent) and registration as a Registered Nurse in the home country.
• Minimum two years recent post‑graduate experience in an outpatient department setting.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Ability to work in Dubai and hold a valid license/registration for practice.
