Staff Nurse – Psychiatry & Behavioral Health

About the role

The Staff Nurse will deliver patient‑centered psychiatric and behavioural health care within a specialised clinic, conducting thorough assessments and providing safe, evidence‑based interventions for a diverse adult population.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including substance‑use and suicide‑risk screening.
• Provide specialised care for patients experiencing manic episodes, active hallucinations, borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia, somatic symptom disorder and OCD.
• Administer long‑acting injectable antipsychotic medications and monitor for extrapyramidal symptoms.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop, revise and coordinate individualized care plans and patient transfers.
• Document all patient data in accordance with hospital standards and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (minimum three‑year program) or equivalent two‑year degree.
• Current registration as a Registered Nurse in Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia or a valid UAE licence.
• Minimum two years recent experience in psychiatry and behavioural health nursing.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certifications.
