Staff Nurse – Tower A5 (Mother & Baby Wing)

About the role

The Staff Nurse on Tower A5 of the Mother & Baby Wing provides comprehensive nursing care, education and care transitions for patients and families. This role supports professional nursing practice across the continuum of care while upholding SSMC’s mission, vision and values.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse comprehensive assessment data (physical, psychosocial, emotional, cognitive, spiritual) to determine patient diagnoses and issues.
• Develop culturally appropriate, individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families and the healthcare team.
• Implement evidence‑based interventions, perform treatments and procedures, and administer medications according to policies.
• Document all aspects of the care plan, modifications and outcomes using standardized terminology.
• Communicate relevant patient information across all levels of care and ensure continuity.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Abu Dhabi/UAE.
• Familiarity with the Nursing Scope of Practice and Professional Nurses Code of Conduct for Abu Dhabi and the UAE.
• Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care using evidence‑based practices.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
