Staff Physician – Hospitalist

About the role

The Staff Physician – Hospitalist will join the Integrated Hospital Care Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, delivering comprehensive inpatient care within the Hospital Medicine specialty. This full‑time position involves direct patient management, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and adherence to the highest clinical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and provide continuous care to hospitalized patients in the Hospital Medicine service.
• Prescribe and administer medications, therapies, and specialized treatments.
• Analyze laboratory results, imaging reports and other diagnostics to establish accurate diagnoses.
• Gather detailed patient histories and explain procedures, test results, and treatment plans.
• Perform appropriate surgical procedures and operations when indicated.
• Document patient encounters, clinical notes, and referrals in the medical record.
• Collaborate with medical and non‑medical staff to ensure quality, culturally sensitive care.
• Participate in committees, task forces and performance‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD, MBBS, MBChB or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Completed specialization in Internal Medicine from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 country as defined by the UAE DOH PQR.
• Minimum of 2 years post‑qualification experience for Tier 1 physicians or 5 years for Tier 2 physicians.
