Strategic Planning Unit Head - UAE National

About the role

The Strategic Planning Unit Head leads the development and execution of the organization’s long‑term vision, multi‑year strategies and annual operating plans. Reporting to senior leadership, this role ensures strategic alignment across all departments and with external stakeholders, driving institutional effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Define and champion the organization’s long‑term vision, strategic objectives and value proposition.
• Coordinate and review departmental plans to ensure alignment with institutional priorities.
• Oversee strategic execution governance, including regular updates, reviews and monthly tracking.
• Establish and support transformation taskforces and cross‑functional strategic initiatives.
• Maintain performance management frameworks, KPIs, dashboards and monitoring tools.
• Lead outcome‑based reporting and integration with enterprise reporting systems.
• Provide analytical insights, forecasting and scenario analysis to senior leadership.
• Conduct risk assessments for portfolio‑level programs and recommend mitigation actions.
• Support capability‑building and training related to strategy, planning and execution.

Required profile

• UAE national with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proven track record in strategic planning, performance management and cross‑functional coordination.
• Strong analytical and executive reporting capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills.
